Ingredients

  • For the Pizza:
  • 1 lb. pizza dough softened to room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups cooked chicken shredded
  • cup buffalo sauce plus additional for drizzling
  • ¼ cup blue cheese dressing divided (ranch dressing may be used as an alternative)
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onions
  • ¼ cup banana pepper rings patted dry
  • For the Garlic Butter Parmesan Crust:
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • To Garnish:
  • Chopped chives or green onions
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Fresh parsley

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. If utilizing a pizza stone, place it inside the oven during preheating to ensure an evenly baked, crisp crust.
  2. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with buffalo sauce and one tablespoon of blue cheese dressing. Allow this mixture to rest, letting the flavors meld as you prepare the pizza base.
  3. Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or stone. Roll out the dough evenly and pierce it lightly with a fork to prevent bubbling during baking.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce uniformly over the dough, then layer with most of the shredded mozzarella. Distribute the buffalo chicken mixture, red onions, and banana pepper rings evenly. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  5. Drizzle the pizza with three tablespoons of blue cheese dressing and one to two tablespoons of buffalo sauce for an extra burst of flavor.
  6. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for approximately 13 minutes, until the crust firms and the cheese bubbles.
  7. Combine the melted butter, grated Parmesan, and garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the pizza crust, then return the pizza to the oven for an additional two to three minutes, or until the crust turns a rich golden brown.
  8. Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with chopped chives or green onions, red pepper flakes, and fresh parsley. Slice and serve immediately.
  9. Savor the harmonious blend of spicy, savory, and creamy elements with each delicious bite.
